As a licensed psychologist I specialize in mindfulness-based psychotherapy, seeking to help my clients more fully access their innate resources of well-being. My non-pathologizing and strength-based approach emphasizes expanding awareness of our ongoing experience so as to enhance meaning, freedom and enjoyment in our daily lives.
I currently work with adults who are struggling with difficult life transitions, repercussions of traumatic experience, challenging relationship and parenting dynamics, stress and burnout, grief and loss, shame and blame, and psychological issues related to spiritual development. I take special interest in the areas of our lives where we may feel stuck, stagnant, or unsure as to how to move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
My private therapy practice is based in the town of Mendocino, CA. I also serve periodically on the adjunct faculty of the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) in San Francisco, teaching courses on Therapeutic Communication, Humanistic and Mindfulness-Based Therapies, and Advanced Psychotherapy.
