As a licensed psychologist I specialize in mindfulness-based psychotherapy, seeking to help my clients more fully access their innate resources of well-being. My non-pathologizing and strength-based approach emphasizes cultivating deeper awareness of our ongoing experience so as to increase freedom, meaning and enjoyment in our daily lives.
I work mainly with adults and couples who are struggling with difficult life transitions, repercussions of traumatic experience, challenging relationship and parenting dynamics, anxiety and stress/burnout, grief and loss, and psychological issues related to spiritual development. I take special interest in the areas of our lives where we may feel stuck, stagnant, or unsure as to how to move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
My private therapy practice is based in the town of Mendocino, CA. I also serve as Adjunct Professor at the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) in San Francisco, where I periodically teach Therapeutic Communication, Humanistic and Mindfulness-Based Therapies, and Advanced Psychotherapy.
